- The article analyzes the ethical perspective of the profession of librarian. After a definition of general concepts related to the moral, the ethics and the deonthology librarian, we make a review as a brief historical review on the state of the question in diverse countries. The creation of codes of the profession considers, that gather the emanated basic principles of the Universal Declaration of the Human rights like: freedom, self-determination, equality of opportunities, privacy and search of a minimum of well-being.
