- In the Archive of Vasco-Leonesa Coal mine, managed by the Coal Foundation Vasco-Leonesa and located in La Robla (León) it is conserved most part of the memory of the companies that operated the mining river basins of Leon and Palencia in centuries XIX and XX, river basins that were pioneering in the Spanish industrial development. Because of the quality of the kept documents, the Archive is one of the most important private company archives in Spain, opened, furthermore, to the investigators. Among the different records, a small document set attests the activity of the Anglo-Spanish Mining Company. This company, with English initial capital, worked from 1909 to 1930 the coalmines located in the surroundies of the town of Matallana de Torío (León). The paper, presented at VI Conference on Geologic Patrimony and Mining (Fabero, Leon, 2005) goes into in the history of the company through the form and content analysis of its documents.
