- Relevance ranking is rarely used in OPACs. The Austrian Library Cooperative's Aleph 500 system has a ranking option, used in its catalogues. An attempt is made here to provide information on the current state of ranking option use in OPACs generally as well as on concrete examples of Aleph 500 (as well as systems from other vendors) use elsewhere. Relevance ranking use may be limited as yet because several problems are still involved.
