- As much the information professionals like which their activities are related to the History of Art or the plastic arts directly, we are conscious of the importance of the considered artistic objects like 'data', being even the only vestiges of some cultures and from which we have been able to know its social customs and characteristics. These 'data', transformed information and with the support of new means, have reached in our days an incomparable diffusion with times previous having granted to the artistic work a representativeness and importance without equal, confirmed with the present proliferation of museums and collections and by their presence in mass media.
