- The objective of this article is to spread out part of the results of research carried through with the purpose to analyze the context partner-description that gave origin to Associação Brasileira das Escolas de Biblioteconomia e Documentação - ABEBD, created in 1967. This Association was an important landmark in the librarian career in Brazil, as political organization of the professional library education. The methodology used in the original study makes the qualitative boarding of the reality. The source of collection of data was the collection of texts called \"documentos da ABEBD\". The data had been collected through a form standard, aiming at to rescue the speeches contained in the texts of the collection and, later, they had been dealt with as collective speech, adopting itself it technique of the Discurso do Sujeito Coletivo - DSC.
