This paper deals with the US (former Israeli) company, Ex Libris, a global market leader in library software, and its user group, IGeLU. Special attention is given to the co-operation between manufacturer and customers. An overview about company organization and activities is followed by a brief history of the user groups, which in 2006 were integrated into one association named "International User Group of Ex Libris Users (IGeLU)". The article shows some aspects of this integration, and presents aims, membership and organizational structure of IGeLU. The second part of the paper describes the activities of the IGeLU Steering Committee (SC) as well as details of the co-operation between IGeLU and Ex Libris. At last, the author resumes his personal experiences of working for the IGeLU SC.
