Descripción

• The concepts and fundamental principles of the organization of information are exposed. The characteristics of the documents in Internet, as a fundamental aspect for their description, are approached. The evolution of the traditional bibliographical cataloguing and its influence on the generation of metadata as a process of the description of documents in Internet, its characteristics and functions, as well as the place of the information professionals in the present paradigm, are briefly described.
