When trying to establish a new service for access to information distributed via the internet, it is necessary to determine the actual use of what is to be offered, as well as the difficulties encountered by potential users of this service. This article presents the results of a study to determine the level of internet usage among medical doctors affiliated with the provincial medical association in order to make available to them a new service: the Virtual Medical Library of the Official Medical College of Valencia.
