- Between the years 1,987 and 1,991, UNESCO published three reports on national libraries. This article focuses on the concept of national library as presented in the cited authors. There is no main agreement on the definition of this concept, mainly due to the heterogeneity these libraries together with their respective countries, environments, etc. show.
