  • The evaluation of information literacy (IL) is a must. Institutions may use results for improving programmes, for management purposes or for decision-making. Therefore, a literature review is carried out to orient information professionals toward topics such as: who has to do the evaluation, how to do it, as well as suggestions on how to perform evaluation activities. Tips for self-evaluation are included as well as questions regarding the challenges of evaluation for librarians and library schools.
