- This paper reports results which constitute part of the requirements for completion of the course “ Human Capital and Library Academic Evaluation”
taught in the virtual mode between Nov. 2004 – Feb. 2005.
It describes a cooperative benchmarking experience with academic libraries from Mexico, El Salvador and Argentina.
Their organizational structure, processes and services are compared on a similar basis.
It is proposed that this experience may be transferable to other organizations under equivalent circumstances, having cooperation as the main motivation.
A few indicators have been identified. These may be useful to repeat the experience in the future and study their applicability to decision making areas.
