- Polish Literary Bibliography on-line. Producing of database, limitations, innovations and progress. The paper deals with „Polska Bibliografia Literacka” – the literary bibliography by author's team of Institut of Literary Research of Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan. The database is continuation of prof. Stefan Vrtel-Wierczyński's bibliography concept. „Polska Bibliografia Literacka” („Polish Literary Bibliography”) basic source of information for researchers of literature, teachers and students of philologies, theatrologists, film scholars, journalists, sociologists, etc., has been converted from printed bibliography into database on-line using an information system and available in Internet for everybody. The process of transcription consisted in structure, records, indexes and organization of bibliographic material in electronic forming thanks the cooperation to the Institute of Computing Sciences of Poznan University of Technology. The bibliographic team's work organization and bibliographic methods are similar as in the printed bibliography. At present the database on-line covers period 1989–1996. There are six search categories. The Google search engine is indexing whole Polish Literary Bibliography (about 334 000 pages WWW). With regards to our projects for the future, the bibliographical records of Polish Literary Bibliography will be linked to full textes, video and sounds files and might be integrated with Polish digital libraries.
