- La norma 150 5127/2:1983 Documentación e Información. Vocabulario. Parte 2.-
define documento como «información registrada», es decir, documento como soporte de
información. Es evidente que Internet, desde este punto de vista, es un documento. Pero
¿cuáles son las características que nos permiten definir Internet como una tipología documental
más?, ¿Cuáles son las relaciones que se establecen entre Internet y otras tipologías
documentales? Y por otro lado ¿cuál es la necesidad de definir Internet en estos
parámetros?
Aestas y otras cuestiones intentaremos dar respuesta en nuestro artículo. Además
pretendemos establecer un esquema de las tipologías documentales existentes, situando
Internet en el contexto que le corresponde como documento, completando todo ello con

Part 2.— defines document as support of information. It is evident, from this
point of view, that the Internet is a document. However, what are the characteristics that
allow us to define the Internet as another documental type? What relations are established
between the Internet and other documental types? Furthermore, why should we
define the Internet whithiu these parameters?
The aim of this article is to answer these and others questions as well as to establish
a scheme of the existing documental types, situating the Internet within the context it
corresponds to as a document and ending with te scientific definition that we propose
for the Internet.
